Compact, Dirt Simple, SS Espresso/Coffee Machine
I don't think anyone buys a single-serve machine to make 12 cups of coffee amirite? So, going into this I knew I'd be out a couple of bucks because I don't have a grinder or drip machine also they make too much for me to consume without waste.I'm an essential employee, single-parent, co-parenting two kids during a plague and I can't always get down the corner from my house to get a decent cup of joe. I know 1st world problems right? Since I'm not in my regular work-place these days, and I lent my CBTL machine to a supposed friend who never returned it, how do I get my caffeine fix?Box has a built-in handle, nice. Pulled machine out, put the foam back in the box and tossed the box in attic (I always save boxes in case of repairs). Yes, I RTFM, easy peasy, find a place on the counter, fill up water, peel the protective film off chrome catch base, recorded serial # on the front of the manual, and then plugged it in. Pressed the Longo button and ran the entire pitcher of water through. Once rinsed out, I added freshwater, heated up a cup and I tested one of the included sample capsules.Unit is compact, minimal flair feels sturdy (handle is beefy), spent capsule tray is plenty large enough for probably 25 or so used pods, though by that point it'd probably be icky. This is a De'Longhi, who made my CBTL machine, and I'd say it's well made and will take some years of coffee making abuse. My Espresso was quite sublime, nice cream on top and the sample pod I tried was pretty good.It does the job with minimal fuss, coffee selections are immense too if you are near Target, Staples, HomeGoods, etc or go mail order with the Nespresso Club. Pods are also available too from Amazon. I cut milk out of my coffee so I didn't need the frother. I take it straight.

Forget Keurig. This little machine rocks!
I was tired of watery Keurig coffee, and I didn’t want the hassle of a home espresso machine, with all that time and mess. I just want a good cup of coffee. Well, this Nespresso Pixie has exceeded almost all my expectations (I’ll get to the “almost” in a sec). First, it’s got a tiny footprint, and it’s super simple to operate. It’s well-designed with a container that automatically catches the used cartridges and a reasonable water tank that can make at least 5 espressos before needing to be refilled.Second, the coffee blows me away. It’s rich and deeply flavorful. There’s such a wonderful variety, and I’ve loved every flavor I’ve tried. The decafs are every bit as good as the regular cafs, and that just is such a great bonus as I love decaf at night. My only tiny, tiny issue is that the coffee is not piping hot. It’s reasonable hot and immediately drinkable. No cooling off period needed. I’m ok with that. If my coffee cools too much I just warm it in the microwave for 15 sec. Really, though, this is not a big deal as I drink the coffee too fast for it to cool down because it’s so dang good! I can’t tell you have much happiness this little Pixie has brought into my life.

Nespresso Pixie with frother changed my coffee life!
I was already familiar with Nespresso products and the pixie machine - always loved the flavor of the espresso and the machine is solid...no issues with my first pixie after 8 years of regular use. I lost my first pixie in a move so I tried some other machines before going back to the Nespresso pixie. I am not a coffee aficionado or anything - never even used a frother before. All I can say is "Get the FROTHER!" Every cup I have made so far is at least as good as any coffee shop I've tried. I look forward to my coffee so much more now :) The pixie is a great little espresso machine that takes up hardly any room (see photo for reference) and makes amazing coffee drinks quickly and easily (get the frother!)

Quality espresso at the push of a button.
Best little coffee machine esp for the price tag. SO glad I purchased it. I was hesitant because I’ve never tried Nespresso espressos before and didn’t know what the quality of the espresso was like. This machine makes great, quality espresso in seconds time. If you love espresso drinks and really appreciate convenience, definitely look into a Nespresso machine. There are more expensive models available that do everything for you from A to Z, including frothing the milk and directly pouring it into the cup. I didn’t care for those since I simply use my handheld frother which I’ve been doing for years. Same concept, much more affordable.I chose the Pixie Original Line Nespresso machine vs their VertuoLine becauseA) I have read the quality of espresso is slightly betterB) the espresso capsules are more affordableC) you have the option to use generic capsules, instead of just Nespresso brand since the new VertuoLine machines use a barcode system on their capsules. All in all, very impressed with the machine. Sleek look, convenient, and most importantly makes delicious espresso.

Time saver
I really debated returning this item and finally decided just to keep it since the price wasn’t insane and the time/$ savings and convenience when I’m in a hurry are very handy. And when I say $ savings, I mean it’s cheaper than buying a $4 Latte or cappuccino.Pros:1. Makes very tasty coffee (with the disposable pods). I’m using Peet’s pods.2. Very fast!3. Easy clean up.4. Overall convenient5. Small unit takes up no space.Cons:1. Can’t use re-usable metal pod (tried & you get tea instead of coffee)2. Pods are TOO expensive.3. 1 pod only makes a small amount of coffee. 2 is almost too much and too expensive anyways. Never quite satisfied and have purchased a stove top machine to use most of the time (unless in a hurry).4. Have to fill the water often which is very easy (doesn’t bother me at all, but might bug others).Overall I don’t exactly regret this purchase, but if I hadn’t made it, I don’t think I’d be missing anything except perhaps the $ buying Starbucks or Dutch brothers.
