I got this as a semi-joke gift for my husband after he had been playing Ghost of Tsushima and taking about how much he'd like a real samurai sword from Japan. Since I can't afford to drop a thousand bucks on that, I decided to go for a letter opener to go with our little Game of Thrones sword letter opener that we have.We both were amazed by the quality for the price and he absolutely loved it. It is just barely sharp enough to open letters though I think this will become more a decor piece for us, as it is really too large to be a letter opener. Definitely a cool little piece to have on our bookshelf of nerdy stuff. Very happy with the purchase.

Super cool for a gift!! My husband is a senior master in TaeKwonDo, with a love for samurai swords and martial arts. We are both big fans of the Kill Bill movies, and I wanted to get him something cool for his desk at headquarters as a Valentines gift. This fit the bill (pun intended)! It’s small enough to be used as a letter opener, so it is totally functional without overpowering the desk area. And it is put together well, considering the affordable price. Cool conversational piece, and recognizable as a great replica from the sought-after sword in the movies.

Got this for my husband for his birthday. He is going to love it. The quality is good, great for a gift, the blade is not sharp which is good for safety when opening a letter. It is a little too big for a letter opener but it does the job and also good for decoration.

I love this. First, I had no idea that it is a mini replica of Bill's Hattori Hanzo sword from the Kill Bill movies (to the seller:you mention it's Bill's sword, but I think if you stated t more definitely you would sell more to fans). Once I got it I noticed it was dull, but I ran it through a knife sharpener a few times and it opens boxes and letters fine for me. It is a lot larger than most letter openers, but it gave it's size in the title, so I was expecting that. Even if it just sits on my desk and never gets used, its decorative value alone makes me feel like I made a great purchase.Plus, this is really well made, (I've sent a few of the other sword letter openers on the site back already because they were really cheaply made...glad I finally found a keeper) I was surprised how well made it was for the pice I paid actually. I definitely recommend this product.

Gentlemen, (and ladies of course) this is one of the coolest desk ornaments there is! Not only is it a 15.5 inch, exact replica of the notorious sword, it is a very effective letter opener. That's what it's for, but it is quite a bit of an eye catcher too; it has a real, high gloss, dark wooden scabbard . And the blade is a 440 steel, mirror shined, laser etched, beautiful thing to see! The handle wrappings are good enough for a firm, comfortable grip... Cool.. Very cool.

Sword is very nice but the scabber does not work at least mine doesn't

My daughter wanted one to add to her anime section and this was perfect! It's not sharp and a little rounded on the blade which is great for display. The size and detail are on point in a good looking katana. My boyfriend accidentally dropped it and nothing happened. No cracks and parts falling off. Heavy metal body. Very happy.

Only one I've ever seen under 100 bucks that is well made and doesn't fall apart by just looking at it. I'm surprised that they can even sell it for such a low price. Don't expect a real sword to go into battle. However you can sharpen this and use it to open packages and it will hold up or look great for a display.
