I purchase quite a few candles each year. Some I gift to others, but most I use around our home. I mostly use them to freshen the air after cooking meals, or in the bathrooms when we have guests. I stopped using paraffin candles some time ago, after learning more about their toxicity. Mrs. Meyer’s has come to be my favorite, natural wax candle. I have found it difficult to find a natural candle, with a lovely scent, which is strong enough to scent the very large kitchen and great room area. I favor the lemon, but enjoy each of scents I’ve purchased. Some natural wax candles have a shorter burn time than what is advertised, but I find Mrs. Meyer’s candles’ advertised burn time to be pretty accurate. They come in a cute jar, which is reusable or recyclable. Highly recommend.

My candles (2) arrived swiftly and well packaged. The scent was enjoyable throughout the entire burning of the candle. Yes there was a bit left in the bottom but unlike another customer I didn’t want to buy a coffee cup warmer to use up every bit of candle. My reason for only 4 stars is the instruction “DISCARD AFTER USE, as there is lead in the glass” on the bottom of the candle.

I was looking for candles that were less toxic, affordable, with a fresh smelling scent. These checked all of the boxes. While these candles have a small amount of safe synthetics in them, they’re generally add with clean ingredients. When researching, I found: “Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Soy Candles are made with a vegetable oil blend of soy wax and hydrogenated palm oil and are scented with a mix of essential oils and safe synthetics. The brand is completely transparent about their ingredients, and a full list (including fragrance ingredients) can be found on the website.”The jar is so cute as well. I can’t wait to purchase more fragrances to try. (Made with essential oils for scents)

The scent of this candle is subtle but fresh. Removes kitchen odors. Will buy more of these.

the package was ok the item did not break came whole. the scent is too sweet can't smell the vervain. and when burning it lacks strenght. the burn is fast im already half way through and I haven't burnt it too much.

These Mrs. Meyer's candles make bathrooms, kitchens, offices fresh and clean! The lemon verbena scent is noticeable but doesn't evoke headaches. They last a long time and then when the wick is gone I put the jars on a mug warmer to heat the wax. Heating the wax allows us to use every last bit of what we purchased.

I have used it a couple of times when cooking (I have an open space, and when I cook, it smells all over the house) and it smells very nice and helps mask the food odor. I don't really know if it will last. I will have to use it a few more times to be able to asses if it lasts. It is not really giftable, because the jar is not that pretty. There are other candles that are more giftable. But if you are looking to gift it because the person likes the lemony scent, the person will like it.Update January 2020I used the second candle for two nights in a row. I had it in the breakfast nook on top the breakfast table which I had (thankfully!) dressed it with a printed tablecloth. When I was going to light it up again tonight, I lifted the jar up to light the candle and the whole tablecloth came with it. The jar had cracked and the wax had spilled around the jar! I had not noticed it because the tablecloth is printed and I had not turn on the lights in the breakfast nook, so that's why I had not seen it had spilled. So beware that the jar can crack.
