I was skeptical about buying pants online, but these turned out to be much better than I expected. The quality of the material and construction is very good. The fabric is stretchy and does, indeed, repel water on the outside. On the inside, the pants are lined with soft fleece which does not look or feel bulky. At around 40 degrees Fahrenheit, I feel a bit hot, so these pants work better for temps lower than that.I usually wear a 14 in pants, so I ordered the XL to accommodate my hips. The fit is perfect and the waist fits comfortably. I do wish there was maybe an inch or two more fabric in the rear as they pull down a little bit in the back (I carry my weight in the rear). Overall, though, the fit is not too tight or too loose - I can still wear a base layer underneath and feel comfortable.There are 2 zip pockets which are very roomy and the zippers are easy to use with one hand. I bought the purple color which is more of a bright magenta in person. I'm 5'2" and the pants are long, as is the case with just about any pants I buy. I'm able to roll the legs up internally and, since the material is stretchy, I can pull them down over my ankle boots. I don't think this would work over tall or mid-calf boots unless they are slim-fitting and without furry tops.The fabric definitely makes a swishing sound when walking, but it's not too bad. If you are trying to sneak quietly around the woods, you will definitely be heard, but in normal conditions with background noise, the swishing is not too noticeable.

Pros for size Medium - fabric is soft and flexible with some stretch, few inches of side elastic make them comfortable in the waist even with my belly and a base layer, (I usually have to buy a Large to feel like I can breathe, and I am 5'2 and 136 lbs) not gigantic in butt/thighs so they are reasonably flattering on me (a pleasant surprise, not that I need to look glamorous walking/snowshoeing in my woods, but still...), certainly seem warm so far, deep enough pockets, 2 front, 1 back, that are well placed and zip to close, did not come in Petite, but are not ridiculously long on me (may be a con for longer-legged people), zipper and hook at waistband are sewn nicely and function well, knees are articulated, and pants seem quite well made overall.Cons - no obvious ones so far!

I live in Alaska where it rains & snows a lot. These pants are warm and keep me dry. Very confirtable.. are lacking a little fitted shape, straight down and a little loose in certain areas. But overall, great pants.

This pair is by far the most comfortable and fitting. For your reference, I'm 130lbs and 5'4". I usually wear medium for most pants and tops. At first, I bought the medium, but the waist area is way too loose. The reason I got a medium was that I wanted to fit another pair of legging for my Iceland trip in June, but it was too big. The small fits perfectly. It may be tough to wear another fleece legging underneath, but these pants already come with good fleece lining, so they should be sufficient. The length of these pants is great as well for my height, so I won't need to hem them. These would also work great as winter pants, but probably not for skiing. I have not tested the water resistance aspect of these pants. I will test them out in Iceland and update my review then.

These pants are water resistant, lined and warm without being bulky. They have a more attractive slimmer fit than some others I have tried. Multiple zipped pockets keep everything secure. Ordered my usual pant size.

Not sure if mine were a fluke or not. I did not find they were true to size. I normally wear a size 12. These were super tight in the thighs and a little loose in the waist. To be fair my waist is smaller than my thighs and sometimes clothing with some "stretch" fits me best. I would have just ordered the next size ip, but they were ready too loose in the waist. I was disappointed as they were a good value and looked to be a quality item. I need a pair of water resistant pants for a hike we are taking thus summer in an environment that is likely to have varied temps, and be drizzling off and on all day. Since its for a trip and I will likely not get much use out of these after the trip, I didn't want to spend a fortune on something like a pair of name brand snowboarding pants. If you're not built like me, they are worth a try. I am 5'8" 165lbs. with all my weight being carried in my thighs. The length was perfect, but were just too tight in the legs to be comfortable all day hiking and need to be flexible enough to climb and scurrying across rocks safely on the hiking trails.

The fit is really comfortable. I wore these to shovel snow today to see how warm they would be before using them for snow sports and I am not disappointed! A thin pair of leggings or thermals under them would suffice though I didn't put anything under them today and I kept very warm. I did order my size but found that a belt or suspenders may be helpful when doing a lot of activity in these but that may just be me. There's plenty of room for layering.

Feels great in Alaska. Comfortable for hike or fishing.

I purchased these pants for fall golf and walking days. They are super comfortable and the lining is soft and cosy.The outer fabric is definitely wind proof but i have yet to test if they are totally waterproof. Great fit true to size. Purchase XS and I am 5’2’ and 115lbs.

Size Small Pants dimensions - waist is 13 1/8 inches and inseam is 27 5/8 inches. Waist is good. Just a little loose in the hips and just a tad long. I can deal with the hips and maybe hem the pants. Warm pants.
