SAMSUNG Gear S3 Classic Smartwatch - 46mm (Renewed)

Another product I feel like I have to review on price - battery lasts over a day, nice screen, quick apps, fairly simple to get up and running.Few mentions so you know what to expect…- this does not feel like a 46mm watch, closer to 40mm. Screen is about 36mm. The bezel tips out at the bottom which is where they measure from. I did add a different bezel to gain some size (I have big hands) and seems a little better.I did notice a lot of apps are no longer supported but not a huge deal. I added another band so don’t expect it with your watch. Good buy - I don’t think most would be disappointed and it’s probably worth 30% more than what I paid. It is very quick.The connection between your phone and watch seem a little disconnected at times. I don’t see this being a big deal or critical.The App Store does not want to open all the time - I think the WiFi is a little weak on the watch which may be the issue - be sure to connect to WiFi direct vs using Bluetooth hotspot from your phone - works better.Colors are VERY vivid - as clear as my more expensive watches. Think it’s oled but may be wrong. It’s feels like it’s “awake” all the time (even though it’s not) I think that may be why the battery lasts a day vs several days so if this is important to you, you can change the settings and get much more battery life. I imagine if I turned WiFi off, sleep quicker and dimmed the screen a bit it would last a few days - but I prefer the max and I charge every night anyway.

So I've ordered refreshed items a few times in the past and have been pleased with those purchases. This time, however, I am sorely disappointed in this product. The watch case looks like it was buffed with 80 grit sandpaper. Although the screen looks great, the bezel is loose and rotates very freely. It's not tight at all. I did not receive 2 watch bands as stated. I received one and a half. Seriously half of the second watch band. If this is "excellent condition" then I need to lower my expectations quite a bit. It also has zero % battery when I received it. How was it tested with a zero % battery?I am amending this review, 20 minutes after writing the previous one. The watch overheated at 8% and stopped charging. Within 15 minutes, the watch was at zero %. I don't understand how this is acceptable. None of what was described on the renewed criteria has been applied to this watch. I am returning immediately.

My phone was the issue in my first review, I was able to use the watch with another, but now Samsung Wear pops a message saying the S3 will no longer be supported. Buyer beware newer phones may not support.

I was a little bit worried about purchasing a refurbished watch so was a little cautious about making this purchase. First off, the vendor had great service and I received the shipment 3 days ahead of schedule which was great. Second, it was clear that the charging accessory may not be original and in searching, it seems some of the after market chargers overheated or didn't charge properly. The supplied charger was 3rd party, but there were no issues at all with charging or overheating. In fact, I tracked down the same item and ordered an extra for travel. It works well also. I'll leave feedback under that review as well.As for the watch itself, I could find no blemishes, scratches or chips on the watch. The band appeared to be new with no indication it had been worn. It is a leather band and should show signs of usage so my guess is that it could have been a new band or in fact the watch had never been worn. I've not run the battery totally out, but with normal usage, the battery drops to about 85% charge during the day and so see no reason it couldn't last 2-3 days. Overall, the watch seems to look and work just like a new watch.The only down side I've found so far is that the same watch new from Samsung is now on sale for just $20 more. I will admit to having second thoughts about purchasing a new watch for <10% more than the refurbished version of the same. This does have warranty implications, but I am hopeful I didn't make the wrong decision and save myself a few dollars in the long run.Overall, this is a great watch and am glad I made the purchase.

Thus product works as descriped and was shipped quickly. I did Add a little bling and upgraded the battery which I had tried to do with my old Samsung s3 but do to a fatal error on my part I was forces to buy a new watch. Luckily the price was decent enough on this that it was worth making the new upgrades on.

My watch came scratched and the battery doesn't last that long. It lasts about a day. However, for the price and for what to expect it's a good watch to start out with if you're not sure whether you'd want a smartwatch or not.
