Lyman Master Gunsmith Multi Tool Kit Includes Hex Torx Flathead Phillips and Specialty Bits

I was seeking a reasonably priced set of bits and a driver for my range bag. Received this today and promptly returned it. This is the worst kind of Chinese junk - believe the negative reviews as I should have. I always buy quality tools for my workbench and this is my first and last Lyman purchase I ever make. Sub-standard steel, poor coatings on the bits (in many cases obscuring the head of the bit itself), loose fitting shanks on the driver......the list goes on. I should have gone with my gut and purchased Wheeler in the first place.

Crappy made kit. Yes, it has all sorts of bits and a little over kill on the flat heads but they are made very cheap. I broke off a torque bit inside a hand stop and I'll never be able to get it out now. Also, don't ever try to use the punches inside the grip. They will get stuck and you'll have a hard time getting them out. My last straw with this kit was when I tried to punch out a pin my my lower and had to use a little more force then usual. That punch is now permanently stuck in the grip and I couldn't get it out with a vise and vise grips. Throwing this kit in the trash. Spend a little more cash on a better kit....DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Great set, I read all the reviews about the bits not fitting in the extension, and when it first arrived mine didn't fit either but if people would look a little harder rather than jump on Amazon and write a bad review than they would realize there is a set screw on the side of the extension that has to be loosened in order to put the bits in. Mine works great and has just about any bit you could want for gunsmithing

This is medium size gunsmith tool kit, it will cover about 80% to 90% of the screws and special nuts you will find on firearms. So noted things are no metric hex sizes and some of the specialty bits found in larger sets. It will fit most gun owners needs to disassemble and assemble most firearms and for adding accessories and scopes to their firearms. This is the right screw and nut drivers for the job.

Zero stars. Item delivered was probably used. Had nicks and sings in extension. I could have accepted that even but the extension and bits do not fit with handle. Definitely should have heeded the bad reviews. Do NOT waste your time. Returned!

Saw several reviews that mentioned this problem, but it is in fact real. Inside the magnetic tip of the number 51 extension, I found broken metal chips that I thought would allow the bits to fit once removed. Wrong! The little ball detent will never make it into the retaining wall of the extension drive. This is the case for each of the bits including in the kit. very disappointed and will attempt to return tomorrow.

Extension does not fit the bits.Snapped off a T bit when gently installing scope rings... even after being extra careful, (barely more than finger tight) since I was privy to the reviews. Now the pricey custom scope rings might be ruined. How does the OEM not correct these issues!? They have to know about it by now... Garbage!

I was excited to get this set for my gunsmithing needs. When I got it, everything looked okay. One of the bits didn't fit in so I checked some more and almost all of them did not fit. One of the little balls actually came out as well.

Not a bad set, but I kind of expected better from an American brand. They're well specced by Lyman, but made (not brilliantly) in china. The bits look pretty good and are bearing secured, but there is still a bit of play in the connection between the bit and the holding shaft; there's a bit more play in the joint with the handle, so if you're looking for something that feels accurate and good in the hand, you probably want to look elsewhere, or use a better handle.I kind of expected to have a better handle on quality control, so I'm disappointed with the quality of this set. It's not cheap, and it's nowhere near as bad as some budget tools but, really, it's not good enough.

Wow. How cheaply made! The ratchet is a useless throw-away. The only redeeming quality is the wide array of slot screw heads. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Good number of bits and based on very first impressions they are exactly what was promised and are working well.
