Can you use any sharpener for this knife? or must you use a mac knife sharpener. i have a sharpener from bed bath beyond and a rod stick sharpener

The Mac knife came from the manufacturer with a precise angle on the blade for optimum sharpness. Unless you are an excellent knife sharpener, I would strongly recommend the pretty inexpensive sharper. It sharpens at the exact angle needed and worked on my other knives. For years I have sharpened all my knives on a Arkansas wet stone but this Mac sharpener does perfect each time and very quickly too!

Does this knife have a wooden handle and a regular blade not hollow? trying to make sure i am getting the correct knife.

No, this knife does not have a wooden handle and the blade has dimples, (it is a hollow blade). But it is a great knife, i definetly recomend it! If you do not want a hollow blade, Mac do sell regular blades.
