The perfect EDC device
I spent many years working where tools like this were absolutely necessary. If this had been available years ago it would definitely have been in my daily, personal KIT, especially when in plainclothes or when carrying a firearm or metallic knife wasn't an option. Definitely read the description on the VZGrips website as there's one thing they say on their website that isn't stated in the Amazon description and that is a key benefit of this tool. Let's be clear about what this is and is not. This is not a knife. It's a dagger. The only damage it will do is by pushing or thrusting. Used like a knife, only the tip could do damage if used in a drawing motion, though with some research and the right tools, you could put a bit more of an edge on it. The dagger itself has a divet for your forefinger or thumb and a lanyard hole at the rear. There's also two smaller holes for a paracord wrap, though the texture on the handle negates the need for a wrap and helps to keep its profile thin. Balance is slightly off from middle, but perfect for where a hand would grip meaning you could throw it if you have the skills to do so. But its the sheath the makes it the perfect EDC for your KIT. It's solid and leather. Its cut from one piece, then folded and sewn. It can be put in a belt or strap vertically or horizontally (will accommodate belts or straps up to 1.5 inches wide). It can mount horizontally in the small of your back or easily slide into a belly band. It would attach to a molle panel. It could easily be stuffed into a boot or mounted to a shoulder strap on a pack. The folded over part at the end of the sheath creates a small tube through which a necklace can be fed to allow for carrying like a neck knife. I'm one of those guys that have lots of knives including balisongs, neck knives, seatbelt/strap cutters, etc. This is definitely top of the line and moving to my EDC list. Worth adding... the VZ Executive Dagger in G10/carbon fiber is $95 on the VZ site. The leather sheath is another $10 which brings it to $105 before tax and shipping. Its $85 on Amazon and includes the sheath. Definitely the better buying option...I do not work with or for and am not affiliated with VZ. I've used their VZ Grips on multiple 1911's and have always thought well of their products. I found the newer VZ Daggers while browsing through a magazine. There were almost no reviews available so I thought I'd buy one and see how it worked; especially since Amazon makes returns so easy. This is definitely not getting returned.
