Top Notch Monitor Arm / Best on the market
This is undoubtedly one of the best monitor arms on the market. While it is on the pricier side, its exceptional build quality and heavy-duty design make it worth every penny. If you own a 49-inch monitor, I highly recommend choosing an Ergotron monitor arm over any other brand. I initially purchased a cheaper alternative but ended up returning it immediately. This is a classic case of "you get what you pay for," and the Ergotron arm is definitely worth the investment. **Pros:** - **Rock-solid design:** The arm's robust construction ensures your high-end monitor is securely supported. - **Ease of movement:** Adjusting and repositioning a 49-inch monitor is effortless, thanks to the arm's smooth operation. - **Easy installation:** The installation process is straightforward, but make sure you have all the necessary tools, especially a wrench for the monitor arm head. For a 49-inch monitor, having a second person to assist is helpful. - **Durability:** The arm shows no signs of wear or binding, even after extended use. Its overbuilt design provides confidence that your expensive monitor is safe. **Cons:** - **Cable management:** The arm's cable management system could use some improvement. However, this is a minor issue since you rarely need to access the back unless you're setting up an elaborate gaming rig. **Comparison and Recommendations:** - **Superior to other brands:** After reviewing various reports, the Ergotron stands out in terms of adjustability and stability, making it the top choice in its class. - **Versatile use:** I would exclusively recommend this arm for other types of monitors and specific use cases, such as dual-monitor setups or professional workstations. Despite being the most expensive option, it is well worth the investment due to its longevity and superior build quality.

Very Satisfied - Would buy again
I struggled to find an arm that would support my almost 33lb 4k 43" LG monitor. Sadly it is the most expensive but is among 2 that I found would work and the tolerances are DEFINITELY better for the Ergotron. Here is what I like: 1: Stable - was concerned due to the drop in nature of Ergotron HX, but the monitor does not move after mounted 2: Assembly - almost too easy; 32 lb monitor mounted solo VERY easily 3: Ease of use - very very smooth 4: Aesthetics - good looking; aluminum look only comes in white but matches the black items in the room I have well 5: Quality - clearly built to last 6: Warranty 7: Company is known and has a US presence Here is what I don't like: 1: Price - it is expensive The cost is worth it in my opinion as the company has a US presence and a good warranty - also it is the only mount where my weight is in the middle of the road. My setup: ----- ------------ ----- | | | | | | |2K | | 4K | | 2K| | | | | | | ----- ------------ ----- Each of the 2k 27" monitors use the Ergotron LX. The 43" 4k monitor uses the Ergotron HX.

looks beefy.. too bad it's missing parts in the box
It's very strong and looks good. It easily holds my 35lb 49" curved monitor. I'm not sure it's worth the extra money but it is good quality and looks good too

Extremely heavy and well built arm for monitors
This monitor arm is extremely well made, durable and a lot more heavy then I thought it would be. So, overall the construction of the arm and it's design is very well made, heavy solid materials. It comes shipped in a great packaging, it's nice to see care in how much care went into packing. The assembly is relatively easy with just 3 parts that connect with a few screws to tighten. I'm using this arm with an LG 38" Ultra Wide monitor that I believe is about 15lbs in weight and it can easily move around without struggle on the arm. If you have a lighter monitor or a smaller sized one, you may have difficulty with the arm keeping a monitor in a low position. If the monitor is light weight < 12-13lbs it may want to lift up on it's own due to the heavy spring action. I had a smaller monitor on it while waiting for my ultra-wide and it was kind of comical. I added weight to the monitor to keep it down a bit. It supports VESA 100x100 and 200x200 on the mounting bracket. I feel like this is a good standard for newer monitors. The mount is sturdy and supports a really good range of movement tilting up and down as well as a full rotation on it's side. The arm movement is really reasonable in it's range of movement. I'm even able to drop my monitor down a bit lower than the clamp. The arm assembly also includes options to mount the arm with a desk clamp, or through a drilled hole. It has good options for mounting the arm as needed. I'm really satisfied with this purchase and can see this arm lasting a really long time - probably much longer than my new monitor. I highly recommend getting it.

Save $200 and buy the Huanuo brand for $130
Strong and quality made but there are less expensive alternatives e.g., $130 Huanuo brand that are equal in quality and functionality.

I was looking for a monitor arm so I can suspend my very heavy 27” iMac. This Ergotron HX fits the bill perfectly! It’s rated at being able to carry 45 pounds and it sure is true! It has no trouble lifting my close to 22 pounds 27” iMac with very, very minimal wobble (which can be expected considering it’s cantilevered). The one I got was the white version and the product looks great in powder white. Installation was very easy; I had to use a VIVO VESA Mounting Adapter Kit for the iMac. The adapter attached to the stand. The first time I attached the iMac to the arm, it didn’t even drooped! There are points in the joints where you can adjust the tension and mine was already stiff right out of the box. A bit pricey, but worth it! I am not in any way worried that my iMac will fall down. Highly recommended!

Zeer blij mee.
