I cannot figure out why it changes the silver leaf from shiny to matte. It looks fine and clear over the wood. Since I can't find anyone else on the internet with this issue, I assume this is a me problem lol. Very frustrating though!

Placing Barnabus LIQUID Gold Leaf Sealer in a plastic jar meant for a SOLID or CREAM product is not the same, equivalent measure of 120 ml equivalent to 4 oz -- see my photos of a 4 oz bottle of liquid right next to product received. The top is also plastic and is not the gold metal one reflected in the photos. Thankfully, it is sealed and did not spill. Considering returning.

I applied this metal leaf sealer and it tarnished the metal leaf and ruined my painting. It also flaked off in tiny blue colored chards. I have never had this happen before with any sealer. Water based sealer should never actually cause metal leaf to tarnish. It’s supposed to prevent tarnish! I used the same metal leaf I have used many times before with Speedball sealer. This should never happen with a proper sealer. It ruined hours of my work!
