I got this as a "novelty" gift for the house to stick under the Xmas tree. We have a very old commercial shredder that is still working fine but a nuisance to bring into the house from the garage so by the time I get around to shredding, there's months and tons of it. This little thing is toy-like but does the job quickly where I can get a few pages out of the way quickly. You do have to tear up the pages to fit but I do that even with the old shredder anyway just for security reasons. I only used this once to test it out first and it worked fine. Not for big projects, of course.

It works great for personal use. Not for large or double papers. Definitely not for heavy use but great if you don't want a large / expensive one.

This was a great product until I ran a slightly thick piece of paper through it (Bottom of a paper sack has multiple layers and glue ) and bent the blades. After, the shaft no longer makes a full rotation without getting jammed. Stronger blades would be worth a small bump in price for this product.Also, I really hated how the top could not be secure to the bottom while turning the handle with a simple latch. No reason to not have one.

Very small and didn't shred anything very well.

This is perfect for that once in awhile sensitive document you want to shred. One piece at a time. Nice and easy. Shredded and done. No batteries to fuss with. Just realize it's light duty and treat it as such. Should last forever.

Don’t bother with buying this mini shredder! I bought this to shred brown paper for my compost but it was smaller than pictured so I had to tear up the bags into small pieces first. The lid doesn’t stay on and the handle easily falls off. I would have dealt with these issues but the final straw is that it no longer cuts paper; it simply crimps it. It did not even last 3 months and now it’s worthless. I will go back to tearing up my brown paper by hand.

I found this more useful than an electric shredder because it takes up very little room. I found that instead of shredding a whole document I rip off the important information to shred and recycle the rest. Shredded paper is a problem for the recycling centers because the small pieces of paper fly around. But putting the shreds in an envelop solves that issue.

Cute and small but a very useful product to have in your study table. Works perfectly well too. Good buy!!!
