Pro Grade - Acid Brushes - 72 Count 3/8" Boar Hair Acid Flux Brushes

Good enough for the money, quality is definitely adequate. While not the highest quality, the quantity for the price makes up for it. I use these for applying flux to pipes as well as using with solvents such as alcohol to clean residue from (electronics) soldering and they hold up reasonably well. Occasionally they lose some bristles, but it's not a huge deal given the price.

As other reviews reflected, these brushes shed their bristles. I am sure they work for other applications, but will not work for mine. For the price I will keep them for future possible use.

Acid brushes have a hundred uses around the shop-- applying grease, solder flux, cutting oil, whatever. They're disposable which means that they're inexpensive. Occasionally they're also garbage, because when you can buy 72 brushes for less than $10, you can't expect them to heirloom quality.I was expecting these to be marginally usable. I'm pleasantly surprised so far. I've used a handful and all of them have been of reasonably good quality, meaning that the bristles haven't fallen out. I don't know if they're genuine boar hair but they seem to be resilient enough for my use.I wouldn't try to paint with these brushes, but for applying solvents and lubricants, they work fine. I'll use a few more and update if something changes.

Seems theres no way to know which set, seller, or manufacturer will be better quality, its a crap shoot, so I tried this one, this time it seems the hair comes loose more than usual but not too bad. For the price and my needs its acceptable.

Great deal on a pack of these. Every craftsperson should have a few of these around for finer work or when you just need a one and done to seal up that pesky baseboard!
