Backyard fun.
Definitely a good choice for kids interested in bugs. My kid got it yesterday and its kept her occupied with a few hours of backyard exploration. Some of the pieces are a bit flimsy, but for running around having fun its cool. The book that comes with it isn't really a book and not super informative. For a bored 6 year old its fine though.

Good for the price
I bought this as part of a gift for an Angel Tree child at xmas time. He is 6 and really wanted a bug catcher kit as one of his gifts. It comes in a sturdy jar/ bucket with a lid but the pieces are not very sturdy. Hence the inexpensive price..I dont know how it has held up but for a younger child I'm sure it is a good starter set

FUN WITH BUGS
This bug kit met my expectations and my 3 1/2 yr old grandson is having lots of fun with it. He is an expert toddler bug and lizard catcher!

Pretty 50/50
I gave this to my daughter who loves bugs, in some kind of attempt to get her to stop picking up spiders with her fingers. (Who does that!?) Most of the items inside are perfect, but I am a little disappointed with the net (very flimsy and very minimal. Not very useful.) and the ....scissors looking thing that has the two semi-circles on the end (super cheapy and doesn't close very well). The rest of it is nice and the little guidebook inside is a nice bonus. But you can get an awesome net from Five Below to supplement, and as for the little semi-circle catcher.... my kid picks them up with her fingers anyway, I guess.

Educational and Stimulating
My 3 year old grandson loved his new bug collection kit. It's well made and sturdy. He's already started his journal with our first snail. The kit has everything that's needed to pick up crawling or flying bugs.
