Q: what are the dimensions and capacity of these jars??

Holds 3 ounces and measures 3 1/2" H x 1 3/4" in diameter. Fits most spice racks. They have the exact same jars at Bed Bath and Beyond cheaper but I had to replace jars during a recent move and I needed the top to be white, not black. They run about .90 at BBB each and I only needed two but had to buy a set on line to get the lid color. Hope that helps and good luck. Lisa

Q: How airtight are these? I live in GA & the humidity in my house causes the spices (esp. the salt & garlic salt) to clump. Would these prevent that?

My home is in westernKy and my garlic salt has clumped. These jars are glass with plastic twist-on lids. The lids are pretty brittle - I have had two crack when I twisted them. Having said that, they are a convenient size to fit my spice drawers.

Q: Are they leak proof if used for liquids?

Short answer is no, they are not leak proof. There is no "gasket" in the lid and so when laid on its side, liquid will slowly leak out. With the shaker in, it seemed leak proof, but who would store liquids in a bottle with a shaker top?

Q: What are the capacities of these bottles? 4oz? 6oz?

2oz to 3 oz. Hope this helps you. I prefer glass ver plastic.
