Excellent First Impression
This chair just arrived today, so I am going to give you some first impressions and address some of the things I have read in other reviews. First, I think it looks much better in person. I thought it looked cheap in the pictures, but that is not the impression I got in person. I think maybe it is because it looks so shiny in the pics. I will say this chair is definitely on the firm side, but that is very much what I am looking for in a chair, so I am happy with that. Do not get this chair if you are looking for a plush recliner. This is definitely not a small chair as some have described. I have owned many recliners that are smaller. I would say it is as large as just about any standard recliner I have owned, but obviously not as large as the oversized ones I have owned. We live in a small urban apartment right now, and this is just about the perfect balance of size and comfort, at least for me. I am a big guy. I am about 6’ tall and wear a size 56 jacket because of my broad shoulders. I am perfectly comfortable in this chair, and it is, in fact, one of the more comfortable I have owned. I was very pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort. With that said, it would not be for someone much taller or much shorter. The seat is high, so my wife’s feet would not touch the ground, and someone taller than about 6’3” might find the back too short. It is wide enough for my small dogs to lay next to me if I move all the way over. I have owned several chairs that I could feel supports or something else through the cushions. So far, that is not the case. Some have also said that the footrest was hard to lock back into the upright position. I have owned several brand name chairs that used this type of mechanism, and mine, at least, is probably the easiest I have experienced. I can easily lock it in while sitting down. It also lays almost completely flat for sleeping, and is very comfortable to lay back in. So, my first impression is that this is an excellent value for the money. My initial impression is very good. I tried to answer a lot of the questions I had when I was making the decision to buy this chair. I will come back and report any problems I have. *Update*. Nothing to update. Still love the chair! 6/16

Looks Nice And Great Price
I needed a couple of temporary chairs for the house I just moved into (a temporary move until my new house is built) and these fit the bill just nicely. Although I ordered two of them at the exact same time, on the same order, they arrived a day apart. Regardless, they meet my needs perfectly. They were super easy to assemble although it does help to have someone assist to move the box and while putting the four individual pieces together. Yep, the chair comes in four parts: The seat bottom, the seatback, and the left and right "wings" that are attached to the back. Everything slides together pretty easily and, once put together, looks pretty nice. Now, don't get me wrong, this isn't something I will want to use for years and years as it isn't as comfortable as I'd like, it will serve me well for the couple of months that I need them. That isn't to say they aren't comfortable at all, just not as plush as I'd hoped. You won't sink into this chair, but it will support you (and it is fairly wide so you won't feel cramped or crowded when sitting in it) and when reclined back (it does recline to a fully laid back position), I'm sure there will be many nights I will fall asleep in them.

Gigantic and luxurious
Just got it today, but was so happy I had to write a review right away. This is just my first impressions, obviously I can't assess long term reliability. I ordered a large and expensive (for me, the price of this chair is fairly expensive, at least) chair online which is something I never thought I'd do and something I was a bit nervous about -- the risk absolutely paid off. It was *very* easy to assemble (the instructions trick you into thinking it'll be tricky by saying you'll need two people and 30 minutes -- I did it by myself in 3 minutes) and it's *so* comfortable. It's soft but not extremely soft so it still provides support. It's also massive. I'm 6'2", 215 lb and even for me it feels spacious, with ample room to my sides -- If anything it's almost too big. There's so much space to the side, even for my considerably sized bottom, that I expect almost anyone could sit in this comfortably. Thoughts on assembly -- I said it was easy and fast to do by myself, which it was, but I'm also a big strong dude. If you're on the small side you might need help maneuvering the pieces into place. Assembling it basically consists of putting two wings onto the backrest and then putting the backrest onto the bottom part. It's very simple, but the pieces might be heavy for you if you're small.
