so that was annoying. But not the first wall clock I've had ...
Cheaper then it looked in the picture.... very light cheap plastic. It did fall over five feet from the wall and didn't break though. I had to bend the hands so they wouldn't overlap and get stuck, so that was annoying. But not the first wall clock I've had to do that with. Otherwise it works fine and tells me the time. That is the purpose. From a couple feet away it looks nice on my wall matching a couple paintings, but up close you can see it is cheap in quality. It takes one AA battery with the typical clock machine setup on the back. The price it sells for is a bit expensive for the quality.

Love this clock
Love this clock. Very steampunk. The only complaint is that when it's hung on the wall, you can't tell what time it is. Everything is the same color and material. It all blends in together. We painted the gears varying shades along with the numbers so we could see the hands and be able to tell time across the room.

Clock Failure
An interesting looking clock, the plastic-masquerading-as-metal really doesn't work. Because the hands are the exact same color and style as the face in many kinds of light it is actually difficult to tell the time. I plan to paint the hands a contrasting color.

Very hard to read
Made of plastic, very light- makes it easily breakable but a plus is it's easy to hang being so light. My biggest complaint is that you can not see the hands of the clock at all. They blend in and it's pretty much purely a decorative piece.. It also ticks VERY LOUDLY, which is very annoying to me, so if you're also annoying by a ticking clock this may drive you crazy. I'm thinking about moving it just so I can't hear it anymore!

14" Gear Clock
I love it! Yes, it IS plastic! Yes, it is a bit on the cheap side. THAT is why I bought it!.... I fully intend to customize it by painting it to compliment MY kitchen decor!Without customization it is difficult to read as it is all a bronze colored monotone piece. I would never have bought this piece with just "as is" in mind. But then, I am the Craft Queen and I look at most less expensive items with that particular eye of modification in mind.I have not put a battery in it yet, so I don't know if it ticks loudly as others have claimed. Even if it does, it should just blend in with all of the other kitchen sounds! It was shipped quickly and very well packaged. I am very happy with this purchase.

Cheap
Yes, this clock is inexpensive, but it's also cheap. Cheap plastic - not what you might think it is with the cool-looking "gears". It also ticks very VERY loudly, which is quite annoying. Don't buy it - spend the extra $$$ on a decent clock.

You get what you pay for...
Thought it would look more like real gears instead of a stamped piece of plastic but it's still not bad.
