got this stock in 2021 was really fun then the plastic parts started to break bought some of the metal parts and then tried to to a rwd set up with a 7,500kv brushless motor which works great itself the car didnt. got a gyro, dumbo rc transmitter with reciever all the stuff to get the rwd working it didnt so got more metal parts which fit really bad with out mods mostly just spacers of sorts. then stripped the diffs so got a front one way and a solid rear metal ones which then didnt work due to the diff housings being slightly to short which I found out after a year of me not doing anything with it so ive spent the last few days just messing with it and got it working with all metal parts which are still meh but can work. would like to get a body on it but thats a in a few weeks/months thing. imo just keep it stock for a while or get another to mess with theyre cheap and fun also dont get a 7,500kv for this its way to fast like a 5,500kv max and the motor size is 1410 with a cheap $15-25 esc

For the price, this is a pretty good rc car for whipping around the house! Definetly check out build guides online if you want to modify this!

This mini drifter comes with plastic drift tires vs the rubber on a k989. This makes it slide more and easier to not make contact with the walls . I use these indoors with my kids on a luxury vinyl plank floor (fake hardwood) and it doesn’t mark the floor or scratch the baseboards. easy to charge the battery with the body still on in the car. Very fast for the price! Highs Very durable Great runtime( almost 20 minutes) Fast charging from a USB brick Comes with every except AA batteries Easy to find replacement or upgrade parts A 1/3 the cost of a Kyosho Mini Z Better performance than a Mini Z

Loved the price, quality of plastic parts needs to be better. Springs in shocks need to be of better quality, included drift tires are trash and not completely round, audible knocking from uneven tires when accelerating. Order drift tires and move steering assembly up one notch to drastically improve steering response. With the new wheels I ordered and better springs, this little RC is a good drift trainer!

Perfect for indoor fun on laminate floors. I did get tired of the hard plastic drift tires and replaced them with rubber tires. I added a drop of oil to each shock and bearings because there was some binding. I also added thermal paste to the heatsink, out of the box it doesn’t make contact with the motor. I have ran 20 battery packs through it and nothing has broke so far, really happy with this purchase.
