DEWALT DW2542 1/4-Inch Hex Drive to 3/8-Inch Socket Adapter , Silver

I have several of these, i always misplace them. Nice product

This adapter resides in my 1/4" DeWalt impact tool. I has not broken after nearly two years of household use. What else can I say. It does its job, stays in place and holds sockets well. I expect I will misplace long it before it breaks.

I am a bit unsure about this hex adapter. I purchased Dewalt brand because i figured it would fit the best in my Dewalt impact driver. It works fine and stays in place but i am finding that it has a bit of a wobble. It is more apparent with a socket on the adapter. When I spin the socket, it wobbles just a little. I tried the same socket on a generic adapter on my standard drill with a chuck and no wobble. It really does not affect the operation of removing or installing nuts, but I am wondering if there is an issue with some of these or this is how is is supposed to be. Eventually I am going to get the 1/4" and 1/2" adapters and i am curious if i will see the same thing or the setup will be a bit "tighter". Good price and it holds the socket tight. Not thrilled with the adapter but it works.

I've been using it with dewalt impact driver and had no issues.

Precision socket

A good qualty tool at this price was a very good purchase decision. Hopefully, it will last a long time. DO NOT TIGHTEN LUG NUTS WITH AN IMPACT DRIVER! The professional mechanics in garages have their impact drivers set to a limited torque to tigten wheel lug nuts. Your typical consumer grade impact driver will over tighten the lug nuts.
