A splendid mixture of fantasy, obscure images from Revelation, apocryphal mythology, magic, and more
The Rose Colored Glasses is a compelling urban fantasy with unpredictable character and plot twists (the best kind of twists), and “normal life” ends up having far deeper implications and consequences than what appears on the surface at the beginning of the novel.Raquelle, a woman blind from early childhood, has lived a life wracked with emotional trauma. But, she also has special gifts including the ability to see into the future, a gift she will discover as the story progresses. Meanwhile, a corrupt angel named Uriel wants to use her gifts to bring about a world-ending Armageddon. Those close to her consist of her therapist Sylvia, friend Azer, sister Roselyn, husband Darren, and Darren’s two children Jared and Erik. However, some of these people are allies of Uriel in disguise, and as the novel progresses, those Raquelle thought were allies become foes and unexpected figures become her protectors. The Rose Colored Glasses is a splendid mixture of fantasy, obscure images from the Book of Revelation, apocryphal mythology, magic, and more. The ending is epic and is the perfect teaser for a sequel. Can’t wait!Jaybee Ortiz is a masterful storyteller and has created a world that draws the reader in, turning page after page.

Interesting look at truth and what people see. Set in a fantasy world of Angels and Magick.
The book has a really unique way of expressing that nothing in the world is what it seems. The main character has an interesting concept that I won't spoil. It does have to do with sight.
