We bought the lamp for my granddaughter, for Christmas. It was easily assembled so we plugged in, switched on and waited for the wax to melt. The first time takes a while. The effect was brilliant. On the whole, the lamp is good value and good looking and very therapeutic to watch.

I bought this for my nice as a birthday present. I loved mine when I had it as a kid on the 90s and its pretty much the same. This is both good and bad as it still has that retro feel to it and is calming to watch for hours. However it takes a while to get going and won't be kind on your electricity bill due to the heat it puts out. Just as it was back in the day!

Bought as a Xmas gift and she loved it. 1st few uses it takes a couple of hours for the wax or whatever is inside to heat up but after that it heats up quickly. The glass does get very hot so I wouldn't suggest younger kids use it and adults need to be careful not to touch it when it's on . I learnt the hard way

This is a cool present for a teenager. Easy to set up, pretty and atmospheric. It takes a few hours for the lava to warm and begin to move, so initial patience is required, but it is worth the wait.
