My new favorite liquids!
I have been dipping my own nails for over 5 years now and until recently used a much more expensive brand of liquids. When I started having trouble with the other brand’s bottle getting stuck shut, I set out to find another set of liquids that I liked. I tried several other brands that didn’t perform as I wanted and finally found this brand. Works just as well, if not better then the more expensive brand and no more stuck bottles! Don’t let the low price fool you—these liquids are great!

Better than I expected.
TL; DR - Good for beginners and it is perfect for those who want to try something without the commitment. I would check out SipandDip and other channels on YT for tips. Would buy this product again.————Longer Review:I saw SipandDip do a review on this product in one of her vids. I have also used Modelones dip liquids before in a kit I purchased last year for my birthday. I would say I am fairly familiar with dip powder and I do enjoy using it.At first it is a learning curve and this is perfect for those who want to give it a try to see if it works for them. The only issue I would say is that you have to be careful to use thin coats instead of thicker coats.Using this a top coat was a little hard to get used to but to me it is very shiny. If you want something shinier I would use a gel top coat or buy a separate dip top coat.I didn’t use primer or an official dehydrator for this product because I wanted to make sure I was using the product in its full capacity. I did buff my nails with a 180 grit file and use acetone to get rid of dust on my nails.I did use a single layer of dip base coat and let it dry to act as a “base coat” before I used a color. It made it easier to file as well. (I got that tip from SipandDip).Oh wow, just realized I am rambling. But I do enjoy this product. It was a little difficult to get used to but I feel like I can get good manicures. So far I have gotten two manicures and it has lasted me 2 weeks. I will update when I do more. Oh and I need to take a pic lol.

Terrible.
I’ve used the set of 3 Modelones dip liquids for a couple of years without any issue (I actually have loved them!) but haven’t been able to find them available recently. I thought I’d try these since they were from the same company. They are TERRIBLE! The base/top liquid is thick and almost sticky. It left the dip layers uneven and incredibly bumpy especially on the edges. Then my nails wouldn’t dry so when I went to buff and file my color was all gummy and came off in chunks. (I let them dry my usual amount of time and then some.).I’m so disappointed and definitely won’t be purchasing this at again.

Good for beginners
I'm new to DIY Dip Powder Manicures. My first go-round was a disaster because I didn't know what I was doing. I watched videos on YouTube and properly learned how to prep and dip. I found that the gel method works better for me but decided to try this out and it works well. I use this as the dip and activator, then apply Modelones Gel Base and Top Coat to finish. I get a great shine! If you follow the instructions and watch some videos, you should be able to get a long-lasting manicure. As for removal, what I find that works well is making sure you break that top coat using an e-file or a coarse grit nail file. Once you remove the shine, any removal method (soak or foil) should work. I use the nail foil wrap removal method and have had no problems so far. Also, for removal, make sure you use 100% pure acetone.

Usually good, but not always
I've bought this a couple of times with no problem, it works how it's supposed to. And maybe I'm doing something wrong, but after just a couple of months (5-6), it starts getting thick and difficult to work with. But recently, I ordered this again and it arrived completely expired. I sat down to do my nails, opened the bottle of 2-in-1 base & top coat, and it was so thick and gluey that I could barely pull the lid off the see the brush.Like I said, usually a good product. This is 1 out of 4 that it arrived unusable.

Love!
I really like this brand of dip liquids—the consistency is always perfect. This is the first time I bought them in these small plastic bottles but I’m going to buy them like this from now on. The larger bottles are more expensive and I never seem to use even half the bottle before it starts to get sick and I need to throw it away. In the long run this is more cost effective for me. I also prefer these plastic bottles. When the lid gets stuck, I can bang it on the countertop to bust it loose and they don’t break like the glass bottles do.I assumed the file an orange stick would be just a throwaway, but I was surprised at how good the quality is on both of them. The size is perfect for keeping in my hand bag for emergencies. I highly recommend this set.

Works great!
I got this to do nail dip at home. I got the 2-pack and haven’t opened the second yet—it lasts a long time! BUT, I will admit that I don’t do my nails on a regular basis—probably an average of once a month or even 2 since I usually let my nails grow out/heal between each time.It seems to work well—I think most of my problem is with my own application and not the product.
