Not exactly the same as the original
I took the time to measure the resistance on the old element (which by the way did not need to be replaced, oops) and the new element. The new element is 62 ohms while the old element measures 57.2 ohms. My calculations suggest the new element I received is only 232 watts while the old one is 251 watts. The new element does fit perfectly however. I am just concerned how long it will take the chips to start smoking if I did use the new one. Next time, if there is one I will go directly to Smokehouse.
