Working Great
I have been using the fountain for 7 months now and it continues to work great. It is quiet and easy to use and clean. Our little shih tzu is a water snob and turns her nose to water that has been sitting more than 12 hours. She does not hesitate to drink from the fountain after a week without cleaning, so the constant running keeps it fresh and better tasting. I clean it and change the filters weekly. The rubber around the cartridge holder has become black over time. I reached out to the seller and they are sending a me a replacement cartridge holder. Great follow-up service.

Completely Silent
When the water level is full this water dish makes no noise at all. Once the water level drops an inch or two you can hear a quiet waterfall effect. Topping off the water reservoir will make it completely silent again. When I had refilled the reservoir I had noticed that the water was still clean with very little contaminates like dirt and hair. I think it's due to the design of the top cover that is mostly solid with a few holes drilled in it. I really like the simplicity of the design. The top part where the water flows out of simply snaps on and off like a lid making everything easily accessible. The pump is placed in the center and the lid snaps back on. Easy. The water pump did not work with the first one that was shipped to me. But I did receive a new replacement with all working parts. Not sure why the first pump didn't work but at least the one I have now works fine. UPDATE 2 MONTHS LATER I just had to add this little update to say after 2 months of use I have only cleaned it once and the water never got slimy. I have used 2 other open air designs wothout a filter and both would start to get slimy after a week or so. I'm glad I bought this for my cats.

Wonderfully Quiet
No pump noise and as long as fountain is 3/4 full, there's no water trickling onto water noise. Would be nice if there was a window on the side to view water level, but as soon as I hear water trickling sound, it's time to clean and refill. Straight forward design with very few parts makes it easy to take apart and clean. With a still bowl, my cat always stuck paws in trying to find the water level. She also enjoyed putting her toys in her water bowl. She no longer exhibits either of those behaviors. Walks to the fountain, drinks from the center as well as the tray, then goes on about her business. Good simple fountain for the price. Keep in mind, with these types of fountains, when the power goes out your pets have no water. Good idea to always keep one or more additional still water bowls throughout your house. UPDATE: Had this fountain in operation for a month. A week ago I noticed the water trickling sound was more frequent. Don't know why that has increased. I'm constantly adding water. Only when the fountain is full to the brim does it not make the water trickling sound. When I first started using the fountain, 3/4 full was enough to prevent that sound. I check the water level every two days, and it's always 3/4 full or higher. Odd.

Best cat fountain I've had so far
The big problem with cat water fountains is how gross they get, so I was looking for something easy to clean. This is the easiest of the four fountains I've had, which is to say... still not that great. The stainless steel bowl and lid clean easily in the dishwasher, but the pump has a bunch of crevices that are hard to reach with a brush. And it will grow a biofilm (bacteria or mold) anywhere you don't reach. It says you can go 2-4 weeks without cleaning the pump, but honestly 2 weeks is pushing it. The carbon filter is tiny, and I doubt it's doing much to purify the water. I will say, after two years the pump is still going strong. I actually came here to write a negative review about it dying, but saw the company claim that almost all pump failures could be solved by cleaning, and hey: they were right. It just had a tiny hair stuck in the rotor.

Enjoy for a couple of months
It was perfect the first month I had it. You have to clean it out at least every 3 days, and the filters don’t last very long. The steel develops stains on it from I don’t know what. The cord also develops the same stains/corrosion on it. Maybe it’s because I give my cats bottled spring water; I’m not sure. If you don’t clean the cap and pump every week, gunk cakes up inside of them. This fountain is a bit high maintenance so I will be getting a different fountain. On the plus side though, I do enjoy the sound of the water running when the house is quiet, the center piece/spigot is cute, and the pump cannot be heard unless there is not enough water in the bowl. I also like the size of the bowl as it’s not too big. If you don’t mind the maintenance, this is a good option to go with.

I have had this for a few years and it has been great. It’s super quiet and my cats love it. I just bought another one for my moms cat and she loves it too!

Works well and cat likes it. Pump gave out after 2.5 years.
Have been using this fountain for about 2.5 years now and no problems until now when the pump finally gave up. There's not a pump replacement evident on the item posting although they do identify the filters that you need. There is a replacement pump that I found. I'll order it ($10) but you have to look around Amazon for it.
