Beautiful trio
I love each one of these pens, they feel great in my hand and they write smoothly.

Beautiful artwork, amazing value.
These pens look great and write exceptionally smooth for the price. I have found the nibs on these pens to be smoother than all of the following pens: Monteverde Regatta Sport (M nib), Monteverde Jewelria (M nib), Lamy Safari (F nib), Lamy Logo (F nib), Lamy Al-Star (F nib). The only pen I have under $50 that writes as smooth as these pens is a Pilot Metropolitan with a medium nib. It is simply astonishing to me how Jinhao can make pens this cheap look so good and write so incredibly smooth. I like more expensive pens, I really do, so I buy them from time to time, but every time I use one of these it makes me wonder how much value you really get out of a $150+ pen when the writing experience is almost imperceptibly improved from what these types of pens can provide. The only downside to Jinhao seems to be consistency of quality control. These pens hit the mark, but I have received other Jinhao pens (notably of the 599 series Safari knock-offs) with nibs that required significant flow adjustments, tine alignments, and micromesh smoothing just to make them semi-pleasant to write with. These ones had no such problem. So buyer beware, your experience MIGHT not be as good as mine, but for the price, you can certainly afford to try and see.

Very good pens, amazing price!
I have a sizeable collection of fountain pens ranging from high end Watermans to bottom dollar Jinhaos, and I love these pens. They're smooth on the page, with no skipping at start-up, and they hold a decent amount of ink. Some of Jinhao's nibs even have a degree of flex, and the pens are generally attractive. They're heavy but very comfortable in the hand. I usually post pens, but these work best unposted, and it didn't bother me. I love them not only because of the nib quality but because I can use ink brands I might not put in an expensive pen. Try them. You'll be surprised at how good the quality is for your dollars.

Dollar for dollar Jinhao makes an amazing Fountain Pen
I give Jinhao Fountain Pens a FIVE STAR only because Ten Star is not an option. Dollar for dollar Jinhao makes an amazing Fountain Pen. For hundreds of years the best gift for an educational achievement was a fine writing instrument (a fountain pen). In our time of modern electronics there is still a place for the art of writing our thoughts to someone special or even to our selves. Jinhao has given us an opportunity to continue this tradition at an easily affordable price. When we give the gift of a Fountain Pen we are giving the greatest tool ever made, the tool that can change their lives and even change the world.George

Amazing quality even if you didn’t consider the greatest price.
I am so pleased with the quality of these pens! I recently lost a very high end fountain pen ($150 range) and was disappointed that I would not be able to replace it. I ordered these with some skepticism due to the price but I LOVE them. They are made of quality materials and write (ink flow) better than my high end pen. I would absolutely recommend these to to fountain pen enthusiasts.

Not to put too fine a point on it.....
But these pens are all fine point nibs. One assumes the "medium" in the product description refers to the nib. All that aside, they are beautiful. They are heavyweight (which I love in a fountain pen), nicely balanced, and come with good quality ink converters. They write beautifully; incredibly smooth. For the price, these are amazing pens. I just would have preferred a medium nib.

Frustrating writing experience
I have Jinhao 599, 950, 159 and these pens. The other Jinhaos have performed well, but these have been problematic. The nibs have a drag to them as you write along, tiring your hand in short order. The ink (using Diamine Ancient Copper, a known excellent performer) flow ranges from inconsistent to anemic. I am forced to write slowly as the flow of ink is not able to keep up with my normal writing pace. I have flushed them several times with an ammonia/Dawn/water concoction to no avail. I then took brass sheets to floss the tines. I’ve spent quite a bit of time trying to coax them into working order, and now I surrender. The nibs are low quality and there are small black spots in the fake porcelain barrel. Major disappointment after otherwise reasonable experience with Jinhao in general.
