Am i correct in saying this is designed and manufacture in the UK?

I don’t know - but I was sent one that didn’t work; returned it and was given a replacement, which also didn’t work. Ended up returning this too, and buying a very similar Russell Hobbs model, which works perfectly.

Can this be set to do just 5 or 10 seconds?

It can be set from 10 seconds onwards. You just turn the timer dial to set the required cook time.

Ive lost the manual and can't work out how to set the time - can anyone help please?

Hold down the clock button till the hour flashes. Use the dial to set. Press clock again for minutes, again using dial to set. Press clock again to exit.
