Didn't work for me, got a set for the exact same reason. Only way it will fit is if you bend the pins and even then, won't feel right.

It's not the part. This part replacement is not plug and play, that's why Microsoft put the tamper proof paper that if broken, voids the warranty. You have to calibrate them. The reason why and how to spot bad joystick modules, and why Calibration is critical is shown in numerous YouTube instruction videos. I suggest anyone who has not done this replacement read them, regardless of soldering capability or experience.

Bought these to replace a broken left stick. first install drifted left. second same exact result. i’m good at soldering also. is there a ”trim”??

You have to calibrate them. These are not plug and play. There are numerous YouTube videos that explain the drift, dead spots, and other issues if they aren't calibrated.

Works Fantastic! **Requires a bit of soldering Skill**

You'll need to removed the old thumbsticks to replace these ones. Not like joycons where it's plug and play.A steady hand and some good solder go a long way.Side note. You MUST calibrate them when you are done. Windows has a built in tool for it, but Steam Big Picture mode has one that actually works a lot better.
