My 8yr old daughter happened upon the first Key Hunters book at a book fair at school last year in 2nd grade. We picked up the book by sheer chance and my daughter read the back cover. She seemed intrigued so we bought it for her. She flew through the book in 2 days and began BEGGING for the next book.Since then she has finished the series not once but twice over. She absolutely loves this series of books. They keep her engaged and wanting to know what happens next. The series was our first step into chapter books in a series (meaning more than just 1 book). She has since become hooked on multiple book stories. This has all the things she loves in a story. Excitement, magic, mystery, and thrills!! I'm so happy we found this series.My ONLY complaint about the series is that the books are rather, for lack of a better term, thin. They're so short that she blows through each book in a matter of a day or 2. Obviously this isn't anything worth less stars though. I'm thrilled to have found a chapter book series that has really fed her love of reading. I highly recommend these for any and all young readers.

The Key Hunters series has everything my daughter loves (adventure, comedy, imagination...) and everything that's important to me (strong female and African American protagonists, creative problem solving, good triumphing over bad...). Plus they're just fun to read -- for both of us! I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!

Technically, I haven't read this. But my 6-year-old daughter did, and she was incredibly happy with it. She loves the series, in fact, and we're waiting patiently for the next one to come out!

This was one of four Key Hunters books purchased for my third grader. She loves this series and reads them quickly. This is one of her favorite series.

Exciting and adventurous book that kids would love. The story line is easy to follow and appropriate for children of this age group.

It's great reading this. My eight-year-old enjoyed it thoroughly. The suspense and adventure pulls you on right through.
