Baby Brezza Bottle + Breastmilk Warmer

Works great! I tested several and this was the best one with glass bottles. A lot of the other warmers use steam, this one you fill the water inside the warmer to match the milk line in the bottle. Heated it to the right temperature every time! Other warmers either under or way over heat the glass bottles. This one did a great job. I also like how this one is more simple than the other warmers. A lot of the other ones come with measuring cups and you have to pour in a certain amount of water based on the amount you are trying to warm. This one is simple! You just match the water line to the milk line, I love it!

TLDR: We tried out three different bottle warmers. Mom Cozy, the Philips Avent, and the Baby Brezza (this one, the non-smart one). We ended up going with the Baby Brezza because it had buttons that were easy to push and was the most consistent in getting room and fridge temp bottles to the optimal drinking temperature. The big issue with the Mom Cozy bottle warmer is that the buttons were so hard to push and even when using both hands and pressing hard, sometimes they still didn’t work. Not something I would be able to do with a screaming baby in one hand. Working buttons should be the bare minimum for a product. On top of that, this warmer heats via steam rather than water bath so the top of the bottle is very hot when you pull it out. Also, allegedly steam heating isn’t great for breast milk anyway and should really only be used for formula. Not an expert on that subject though. The Philips Avent was very simple which I loved, but was pretty inconsistent in getting the right temperature. Sometimes it was too hot or too cold, even with the same amount of liquid in the bottle. Both room temp and fridge temp bottles had the same issue with drinking temperature consistency. Another big drawback was that this warmer didn’t have a sound or ding to let you know it was done. You just have to watch it and if you leave it in for too long afterwards, the water bath continues to heat it up and it gets too hot. We ended up doing this several times because we forget it was in there. Finally, the Baby Brezza. We didn’t see any reason to spend extra money for the smart version of this product and still don’t feel we should have. This product has the option to do water bath OR steam heating. Neither of the previous two did both. The buttons were easy to push and although this one was less intuitive to use, it’s not that difficult once you know the two button process. Of the three we tested, this warmer most consistently got the bottle to a good drinking temperature. This warmer also has a timer with minutes and seconds countdown and it has a sound after it is done heating. The only drawback is that when you pour the water out, if you tilt it forward and then pour, some water gets trapped in the lip and then leaks down the front. If you just tilt it to the side and back and then pour, that seems to fix the issue. Overall, the best one of the three though.

We use this bottle warmer every single night. My son is exclusively breastfed, except for his bedtime feed where we give him a bottle of breastmilk so that we can know exactly how much he’s getting. I know that if you overheat breastmilk or heat it too fast, it can ruin it or compromise it so I absolutely love that this warmer has settings specifically for breastmilk. It doesn’t take up a ton of space so we just leave it in the counter! It’s so easy to use so it’s definitely worth the money instead of just putting your bottle into a dish of hot water to heat it up. I even brought it over to grandmas house because it’s easy to travel with! I like that it has different time settings depending on how many ounces are in the bottle. Overall, this was a great purchase and something I have gifted to friends having babies because it’s a good quality gift.

This thing sucks. I’ve used it for both breast milk and formula and it takes forever to heat the bottle up. If the bottle is room temperature it works fine but if using cold water or cold breast milk it takes a long time. It’s taken 10+ minutes to heat up a cold bottle of breast milk. Also the design of it is terrible if using wide neck bottles. I have to stick my hand down in the warmer to grab the bottle out and it’s slippery because the bottle is wet from condensation. I’ve burnt myself from the steam while trying to get the bottle out. If using the quick warm option for formula it gets the bottle itself so hot I’m scared it’s going to hurt my baby yet the formula is still lukewarm. I wish I would’ve gotten a different one, this thing is the bane of my existence.

If you're looking at reviews of a bottle warmer, you already have a good idea of what you're looking for. So forgoing the intro and basic info, I'm going to go straight into the pros and cons of this unit, starting with the cons. Cons: The quick warm function is a nightmare to deal with, and functionally useless for a bottle. Quick warm uses steam from a small amount of boiling water to quickly heat a bottle. Right off the bat, it can't be used for breast milk as it is too hot. It's intended for use with formula or baby food, however there are several huge issues if you try. First, there is no knob or anything to open the lid. When you try to use the lip on the front of the lid, steam shoots out and instantly burns your hand. There should be something sticking out from the side so you arent hinging into the path of the steam. Lifting the bottle out with the basket is a second round of burns because the basket also has no handle, so you have to put your fingers inside the heater and in the path of the steam to grab the basket. Once you do slam this thing into a wall to get the bottle out, you now have a piping hot bottle. Not a terrible problem as a plastic bottle quickly cools as the heat transfers to the milk. Only problem the thick plastic ring of the bottle cap doesn't cool down. So now you have a steaming hot ring of plastic pushed into your babies face as you feed them. Unless you wait several minutes for it to cool, which defeats its entire premise. So the quick warm function is utterly useless AND horribly designed. Problem 2: There is no temp sensor for the water. So there is no adjustment to the time based on the water temp. If you use the required room temp water, not a problem, everything works flawlessly. However, if you heat 1 bottle, feed, and go to heat a second, the water is now still warm, so the second bottle comes out overheated. So this is only good for making single bottles, or you have to dump the water between each one, which on this unit is a bit more of a pain than most other brands. Now onto the pros: The simplicity, yet adjustability for bottle size, of the interface is fantastic. Couldn't ask for a better user interface, which was the main selling point for me. No guessing how long to keep the bottle in, or deal with a painfully slow warm up. If you input everything correctly - milk volume and room temp water, the bottle comes out the perfect temp both for quick warm and steady warm. This unit would be absolutely perfect with only a few changes. Make the steady warm function the "quick warm", and make the quick warm function a slow warm for heating breast milk slower. Then just add a temp sensor so the time can be adjusted automatically based on the starting temp. Make those 2 changes, and this would be a home run product.
