The media could not be loaded. Using this for my Kawasaki Teryx, to be mounted on the underside of the dashboard. Bench tested this in an agonizingly slow process to emulate the slow decline of fuel in a tank. I did this because of reviews saying it only displays empty, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full fuel levels. I found this not to be true. Their testing may be flawed in that they may not be aware that there is a lag time between the sensor and the meter. That’s not bad quality. Lag time, in equipment with sensors, is programmed into devices like this because fuel levels can vary greatly when fuel is going up and down in the tank from waves in water or bumps and holes in the trail. Lag time between sensor and meter keeps the fuel level needle in the meter from wandering back and forth erratically. I have had lag time programmed into equipment manufactured for sale over the years. It’s a standard practice. Amazon only allowed the first part of the video to be posted, so I guess my glass is half empty. ;-)

Great quality and complete kit. The gauge works perfectly and the sensor is accurate. Easy to install with everything included. Ideal for marine use or custom vehicles. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Only 5 positions for needle. Seems it is built well, the wiring colors seemed odd, needs a precise hole for gauge .Made a slight adjustment to my gator fuel gauge hole in tank used a thicker gasket and put sending unit in it.Works great just what I needed, just keep my experience in mind, I will buy again if needed for other projects.

Easy installation

The media could not be loaded. This is a great kit to add a real fuel gauge to your fuel tank.For me it was a huge upgrade for my lawn tractor which only had a rather worthless "sight window" which is just about impossible to use unless you had bright light on the back of the fuel tank and the fuel was within the visible window.The sender unit appears to be solid and of good quality with a sturdy mounting flange, I ordered the 4 inch version in a kit with the gauge which was the best option for my application.The gauge meter unit itself has bold graphics for easy no nonsense readability, the multi color backlight options are a great way to customize to suit your application and do a great job at night. I wired the backlight to the tractor headlight circuit so it comes on with the headlights - a nice touch but not necessary, you can of course wire it up to stay on all the time if you prefer. My kit did not come with the connector sealing plug as shown though.For those reviewers of this kit that complain of the gauge showing Full all the time - this fuel gauge meter is programmable for different types of senders, it might be worth making sure it is configured for the right sender. For me the default settings were correct.Overall, I very much like this kit, it is a little pricey, but if it lasts the life of my lawn tractor, it will be worth it, we'll see.Please not that I took extra care to prepare the nylon fuel tank surface to seal perfectly against the sender unit with the limited torque available from screws in nylon (I purchased special deep thread screws and did not use the machine screws provided), typically such nylon tanks are not perfectly flat nor is the surface texture conducive to a good seal even with the good quality gasket provided. This is less of an issue with metal fuel tanks. Think Safety. If in doubt, use a threaded split ring backer inside the tank.

The gauge is fine but the sending unit is trash and causes the gauge to read wrong. Amazon sent me a replacement and it didn’t work correctly either. Don’t buy this, read the reviews and don’t overlook all the one star reviews like I did.

I like custom measurements available for height of tank. Measured height of tank, ordered unit and installed. Now I can tell accurate fuel level.
