Q: I'm not sure i understand the 'dimensions'- the product dimensions says 3.1 x 2.4 x 0.2- does that mean it's three inches long?

I can see why! I don't recognize these dimensions, at all, because a third measurement doesn't apply for this item. The closed link is 1.8 in long. And, if it matters, I never had trouble with the strength of the magnet. Hope that helps and that you'll enjoy them if you choose to get them!! :D

I do not think the clasp part would be big enough or strong enough. These are made more for a necklace which is lighter and finer than a medic alert bracelet.
