It isn't removable that's just where the door hinge is

How do you reset the passcode?

Take the batteries out to reset. The new password will default to 0000.

Does anyone else have an issue with the door not actually locking? I don’t even have to put in the password as long as I turn the dial it will open…

Try replacing the batteries. When they are going dead this can happen.
