Great purchase!
I purchased this 110 Universal Adapter for my trip to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup. The trip was awesome and this adapter worked perfectly and just as expected. I used it to charge my iPod, iPod nano, digital cameras and Blackberry with no problems at all. Be careful to note though that this item is only an "adapter." If the plug from your device does not at least say "Input: 100-240V" this Universal Adapter alone will not be enough. I brought along some walkie talkies on my trip and had to search around a local mall for a voltage CONVERTER becuase the walkie talkie charger base could only handle a total input of 110V. Just make sure you double check your device. If your device can handle an input of 100-240 volts, you'll be good to go in South Africa with this adapter!

Five Stars
Quite durable, but they can fall apart after 2 years of heavy use.

It WILL break, buy an SKROSS brand instead
Buy an adaptor from SKROSS instead. Just do it, seriously. After the second use on the first day of our trip, the face separated from the body. The prongs fit very (too) tightly in the socket, thus making it difficult to remove from the wall. This hastens the items failure as you pull hard on the body and the little plastic locking tabs which hold it together break and leave the body in your hand and the face with prongs stuck in the socket.Went to a local grocery store in South Africa and bought an adaptor from SKROSS. It is awesome - a two piece design which adapts first to 2 prong european plugs, then to just about every other plug. It was about $25 US.It's true, they sell adaptors everywhere in South Africa, and all the hotels and lodges we stayed at seem to have them. As long as no other guest is using it, you could rely on this. But, I would highly recommend getting the SKROSS, you'll never buy another adaptor.

Worked before it broke!!
I thought that it was two adapters, but there was only one. Amazon was great with this return. I tried using it, and it broke when it was pulled out of the socket. It did however work for the one night that it was used. Its only one adapter and only one thing can be plugged in at a time.

Works for South Africa and Botswana, but NOT Zambia
This outlet adapter worked wonderfully for when we were on vacation to South Africa (Cape Town & Pretoria) and Botswana (Maun, Francistown, and Gaberone). The outlet worked with our U.S. cables for our Apple devices (iPhone 4 and 5, iPod nanos, iPad, and MacBook Air), camera batteries (Nikon and Canon), and eReaders (Nook and Kindle). It worked for all the hotels/guest lodges we stayed at except for the one in Livingstone, Zambia which uses the British rectangular prongs instead of the cylinder prongs used in South Africa. Luckily, one of our members had that particular universal adapter so we were able to charge all of our electronics for that leg of the trip.

Good till it broke.
The converter plug worked very well until I dropped it(about 18 inches) when removing it from the socket. It came apart and was no longer usable.

Worked well in Southern Africa
It seems a little flimsy, but it held up over a month of use and charged fine converting American plugs to those in South Africa and surrounding countries. No complaints. I bought 2 because they're cheap an in case one broke, I'd recommend the same.

Perfect!
Easy to use, durable and priced right! Allows you to use most any US device in a foreign country with no problem.I used this with a MacBook PRO power adapter and it works flawlessly. Make sure your device is 110-240V AC and 50/60 hertz and this will work perfect.
