This boar bristle brush quickly became my favorite hair tool. Color- pretty wood design, exactly as shown in picture. How it’s holding up- only had it for a few moths now but it works just as well as when I got it. Quality- you can tell it’s great quality just by holding it. I for sure dropped it over 20 times onto hard tile floor and it doesn’t even have a dent. Design- love the thick, easy to hold handle and how the head of the brush is slightly rounded for easier styling and brushing. Didn’t give five stars because I think the bristles are a little soft. I really have to go over my hair a bunch of times to get that smooth straight top. Overall great brush. If anyone’s wondering I have something between wavy and curly hair. It’s possible I just need to find a different slicking brush with harder bristles made for my kind of hair. I’m very happy with the buy though. I have a lot of slicking brushes and this is by far my favorite one.

The brush is fine - unless you have thick hair. I have very dry skin and need to use oil once or twice a week to keep my scalp happy (getting older sucks). With the way this brush is constructed, I found that I needed to section my hair in order to pull the bristles through all the way. It will be good for using to lightly pull oil through the top to help keep the frizz down, but I would definitely consider your hair thickness and exactly what you need this brush to do. It was not strong enough to remove any tangles. I would call this a finishing brush.

I was expecting real boar bristles for this price but I’m pretty sure they’re plastic. Brush came in a cheap plastic, whole thing made in China.
