Since this is machine washable will it mess up the USB port for charging?

I did not wash it but I expect you can take off from the bag

Will this hold a 17 inch laptop? Based on dimensions I feel like it might but I know it says it fits a 15.6 - wondering if anyone has tried?

i measured the inside laptop compartment and it just measures 16" high by 10.5" wide. Its not a big bag.
