They work- with a few bolts.
These work for the Gator (the regular one). We just didn't put the yellow wheel caps back on, and secured with a better/wider washer/nut. Worked perfectly. These are a bit bigger than the originals, but worked fine with 2&2. Much better quality than the other ones also, if I replace the front this thing will run forever!

Made our ride on brand new again!
Our gator lasted three years on the wheels it came with - I should really say 2 and half because for the past 6 months - the wheels were literally coming apart - my second child really enjoyed driving it around - such an educational toy - they learn how to control it - drive it - make decisions on what they think the toy can handle - I think they get a sense of independence - and of course - the fun factor is sky high - so I was really excited to find these tires Changing the tires is a two man job - with the right tools - the reason being that each time you turn the bolt on the tire - the entire "axle" turns too - so you need to have a wrench that will hold the axle in place and another wrench to turn the bolt - but - once it is done - you'll have another 2plus years of "drive time" yay!!

NOT XUV MODEL WHEELS!!!
The wheels I received were not the xuv model wheels and subsequently did not fit on the axel. They were two large. Peg Perego has two model gators and these wheels are for the different model. I will have to return these and I am getting the proper wheels directly from peg perego out of Indiana who has absolutely excellent customer service.

Wheel easy to use
These wheels work great as replacements for our kids JD ride on. Traction is back to new and they are easy to install.

This is a GREAT product, with a few flaws
This is actually a great product, which my grandchildren have LOVED for several years, and they wore out the wheels. The wheels literally split down the middle, but that didn't stop the battery or the motor, so I ordered new wheels. Though I put in the model number and the wheels "fit", they had a different anchoring system to the axle than the older model. The older model had four "pegs" on the axle which fit into four holes on the wheels, so it was a good drive train. But the replacement wheels only had four "stops", which meant the "pegs" on the axles would hit the stops, but then skip over them due to the GREAT force of the motor and battery. My grandson solved the problem by simply screwing the wheels onto the axle bracket. This little car has amazing strength and power and battery life, and the speed is fun for them but still safe. The one issue is that when they take their feet off the pedal, the wheels literally STOP, so it spins out. On a hilly driveway, that means the wheels have trouble getting traction and then wear out VERY quickly. But I'd buy it again. I would suggest they figure out a way to engineer more traction and sturdier wheels.

Double check model number!!!
This product fits perfectly. Just make sure when ordering to double check the model numbers. Because there is a quarter inch difference in the width of the replacement tires.

Tires too wide
If you can't modify the rod/axle, or purchase one, do not purchase these tires. The majority of the reviews complain about the width of the tire. Removing the hub cap or using the old hub will not work. There's a review here explaining the need for a longer rod and threading the ends. Some hobby shops will do this, or maybe a friend who works on cars. You can do it yourself with the correct tools.
