Weather Proofing of Pump Installation
I liked the pump for its ease of installation with the help of plumber. I had query as to the need for the pressure switch which the seller replied immediately. I installed a NRV to prevent back flow of water into the tank due to the peculiar water supply system at my premises. The 3/4 in. NRV can be seen to the left side of the pump. The pressure switch worked without any need to carry out adjustment. In order to protect the electricity connection and the pump from direct rain, I located the power point under the slab of the water tank. Additionally, I fabricated a removable cover from aluminium sheet for the pump and pressure switch. The pump started automatically when I opened the tap downstream , one floor below, and switched off when I closed the tap. I am happy with the system.
