does it push your head forward on a plane seat?

Completely depends on the airline seat. It was not as comfy on a Frontier or Southwest flight as it was with Jetblue. But you can adjust it so it is like the picture & that doesn’t make your head feel as uncomfortable. I find it works the best for a roadtrip in the car, but on a redeye flight it really comes in handy.

It sure does. I had a middle seat and I was completing comfortable with it. You can bend it any way you want.
