Complete Plans DYI for Adirondack Bench
The plans have all the templates and details for cutting out the wood parts and the location of the fasterners. The plans are easy to read and use. Having plans and cut templates saved me allot of time due to not having to figure construction from scratch. There are many parts for this bench project that requires making curved cuts. To do all the cutting in a reasonable amount of time you will need a jigsaw or preferably a bandsaw. The cuts could be made with a coping saw but it will require allot of physical effort. If you have all the tools (bandsaw, angle protractor, sander, drill, clamps, router, etceteras), wood, fasterners and the wood finish/paint a skill person could complete the Adirondack bench in 4 hours. However the average Do-it-yourselfer it will likely take about 2 days. It is a good project and if made with quality lumber you will have a sturdy bench that I believe could handle 450 pounds.

Great product, well worth the price.
I like the Rockler plans. I've bought 4 different ones, so far. The templates are helpful in assuring that repetitive parts .I like to use the Rockler Templates to create MDF versions so that I can build that plan multiple times, in a production fashion, using a flush cut bit in my router. I give them as gifts to friends and family.

these plans are easy to follow it took me a fairly long time to make because I used all reclaimed deck wood ,but went together nicely and best of all this is super comfortable to sit in . but pay attention when cutting out the back slats you will need 4 of everyone except the middle you will need 2 .I just marked on the templates the quantity of each part

Quality plans with templates.
Templates were very easy to use and made cutting components a breeze. Highly recommend this product for beginning woodworkers through expert craftsmen.

OK if you use them
I bought this kit to build a bench for the HOA dock. The template looked easy enough. I just didn't get around to building it.

Very disappointed
It did not come with all the template and instructions are half as missing part of instructions had expert wood working man and few carpenters read and look at it said yah they missing several steps probably whole pg list of materials are wrong and shady for needed to tell you how many 2x4,2x6,2x8,1x1,1x2,slats and you need 2x4 for this template doesn't tell what size of wood for each template this cost me close to car pymt very upset easy project has turned it into of 3wks project gets a thumbs down ππ

It's a wood project, we're not building a piano.
Liked the plan, made a few subtle adjustments to keep it easy. You can always add fancy touches, but I like simplicity. Everyone loves it, very comfortable.
