Easy to assemble, no tools are required for the majority of the assembly, just a small screwdriver for a few screws and the battery compartment. Without the slide stops this item moves rather easily, with the slide stops it requires a bit more force. I am using this outside in grass and it still moves rather easily. Provides hours of entertainment and amusement. Rather cute, the "console" in the front with the steering wheel is great, but a bit hard to remove once snapped in place, however it will come back out. Great value for the price as it grows with the child.
