The quality of the steel is good and so is the finish. Despite the knife being made in China, one can be assured of the IKEA quality standards. There are many small time manufacturers of kitchen knives and other steel utensils, but the quality of those products is average. The knife is packed in a tamper proof blister pack with all details given. The small knife is useful too. The knife is extremely sharp and one needs to handle it with care. The knife is easy to handle and the grip is round. The product is competitively priced and is definitely a good buy!
