Excellent book by Chilton, though I wasn't aware Haynes had bought that company too.Even so, it still seems to be more detailed than an equivalent Haynes volume. Pretty much everything a backyard mechanic needs to keep his old car running.

Great book. It really seems to cover more stuff than my Haynes book did that I had for my older model Camaro. Has alot of pictures, OBD 2 code charts, and plenty of troubleshooting, maintenance, and many more tutorials.. It tells everything you'd need to know from what I can tell. I don't think you can go wrong with this book, I am by no means an expert.. but I work on cars alot and there is alot of information in this book that you will need from time to time, so its great to have it!

Good manual, much better than the factory manual.

Having a Chilton is a must have whenever you are working on a car (I don't care for Haynes). The only better guide to have is the factory service manual itself.Overall Chilton does a good job, but occasionally the directions aren't entirely clear or it can be difficult to find a part in the index.

Having owned a 1997 SS Camaro for the last Fifteen yrs and planning on keeping it, felt I needed a repair manual for car.I do most of my own repairs and sometimes you need plenty of help with how to.Ordered this repair manual because I needed one and the price on this one was a lot better than in the auto parts store.Came quickly and was as expected.
