Higgins Vita Garden Hamster & Gerbil Food, 2.5 Lbs, Large

Great hamster seed mix! My robo is a picky eater and historically has refused to eat some of the more nutritious bits from his seed mix. Since switching to this food, he eats almost everything in the mix, and the only bits he leaves behind now are the pieces of corn (which are just filler anyways) and sunflower seeds (which are more of a treat). He seems to love the rest of this mix! I'm so glad I've finally found a good quality, healthy seed mix for him that he actually enjoys eating.Keep in mind that this mix alone does not have enough protein for a hamster's complete diet and should be supplemented with a high-protein lab block like the Mazuri rat and mouse lab blocks.

The bag is smaller than I was expecting but after going to petco/petsmart I realized that’s just how small hamster food bags are haha! My hamster really likes it. I put some lab blocks on top of his bowl and he completely ignored those and goes straight for the seed mix.

Our little DarthVader doesn’t like this food too much for some reason. It has a great variety/mix of seeds and food in it. This was recommended off a Hamster Reddit page so I tried it. Iv been mixing with his other food in hopes he eats some of it.

This is my hamsters favorite food. It’s highly recommended for dwarf hamsters.

I bought this food mix for my dwarf hamster in May 2019(I now have 2 dwarf hamsters, both winter white/campbells dwarf hamsters). My older hamster really likes the long, pellet-shaped pieces and the bigger pieces of foods in this mix. I supplement this food(or Higgins Suburst for hamsters and gerbils) with a couple Mazuri Rat and Mouse pellet food pieces(for extra protein etc.)

My first time using this brand and product. My hamster LOVES it. He got very excited when I served it to him the first time and since then (about a week) he goes looking for it excitedly at dinner time. His other food is great but he's had it for many months, so I needed to switch it up.
