Don’t do it! The idea of the climber is great and the physics behind it. But the execution is poor and unsafe. First, the straps that hold you feet in loosen very easily. Not something you want to happen when you’re 20ft in the air. Second, there NEEDS to a clamp that sets the width of the tree! This is necessary for the physics to work. Once you set the correct diameter on these, you take one step and it slides out to the max again and you can’t climb any higher. You could probably duct tape it in place at the correct diameter for your tree but if you’re climbing very high, not a good idea.

Very solid and easy to use, will appreciate any instructions, however, not hard to figure it out. Used to climb on a 18 feet palm tree and was very easy, I weight little over 200 pounds and was very stable to climb up and get down. A very good thing is that doesn't damage the tree as pikes do, can work on the hight with you both hands since foot plataform was sturdy and came with a safety harness to protect from falling. I highly recommend it

Too heavy, position for foot is not right, adjustment of the diameter doesn't work.
