Q: does the Vadham white teas have caffien?

All teas have some caffeine. I looked this up back apiece. I forget this white tea's amount of caffeine but it was low enough to be almost negligible. The only bump or boost you'll get from this product will be from all its highly beneficial antioxidants and other goodies.

Q: How do you prepare loose leaf tea?

Place one teaspoon of loose tea into a tea strainer or infuser per 6 oz. cuppa tea desired - or directly into a small teapot that has been rinsed to warm it with just under boiling fresh water. Prewarming the teapot is important for consistently best results. Pour the hot (190 to 205 degree F) water (prepared from freshly drawn cold water, I use my Brita water) over the tea and allow to steep for 2 minutes to 4 minutes depending on variety. Steep to taste - too long will "stew" the tea and create unnecessary bitterness. Oolong teas do best with slightly cooler range water i.e. bring to a boil, turn off kettle, allow water to cool a minute or so before pouring over your tea. Flavored black teas stand up to hotter steeps. Most teas will be ok for a second steep after the 1st cup/pot. A 6 oz. cup is "standard", make what you will drink soon as keeping it hot with a teapot cozy (cover) is ok for only a short time. You can adjust all the variables to suit your tastes. You can allow the loose tea in the teapot to expand without using a strainer, (BEST for oolong whole leaf teas) then pour it without getting too many tea leaves in the cup unless it is a finely broken tea - then you will probably need to strain it. Enjoy! Vahdam has very good teas, IMHO.
