A really good reminder for Talent Acquisition professionals and a robust guide for juniors.

Wow, great read. I’ve been a recruiting leader for many years and also recently wrote a white paper on talent attraction. I interviewed James Ellis as a thought leader for the paper. His insight was so impressive that the minute his book came out, I picked one up. He gives the reader something they might not even realize they need at first - the philosophy behind employer branding, what it is and is not, how it has evolved over the years, and how to better understand it from varying points of view. This understanding provides a great foundation for attracting and recruiting top talent. Everyone in the TA world should read this book. Actually, everyone in a position to make a hiring decision needs to read this book. Well done James.

James is a wonderful story teller and his witty analogies drive home the point."But before I put on my saffron robes and chat about how the secret to your employer brand is within you..."I cant put this book down!

It seems the book was printed without consideration of the reader.The text were smaller than normally what you see in a similar book format.

It was hard to not be distracted by the constant demeaning of the recruiter throughout this book. Clearly the author is a marketer who moved into Employer Branding/the TA world and brings that perspective along, but sheesh! James Ellis shares a clear description on how to develop Employer Brand and how to shift the mindset around Talent Acquisition in a way that will be valuable to your company. Good book, but the tone was a bit annoying and patronizing regarding recruiters.
