Useful guide for those managing data science projects in large organizations
I’d seen Richard Benjamins present at conferences so when I saw he had a book, “A Data-Driven Company - 21 Lessons for Large Organizations to Create Value from AI” I clicked Buy Now. The book is laid out very logically in reasonably short chapters with most of them having 2 pages from a guest author with their take on that chapter’s topic. The book makes clear from the start that it is not a guide to data science. It is more of an explanation of how to manage data science programs within large organization such a Telefonica. There are some interesting insights such as the reluctance of country managers to share with HQ the benefits they have obtained from ML less they be set higher targets. It is also interesting how important it is to promote ML project success externally through appearing at conferences and getting quoted in trade press in order to justify the existence of data science projects in the absence of concrete evidence that they are delivering value. If you are in data science management then this book could be useful to you; not so much for data scientists themselves.

Todo OK
Llegó antes de la fecha indicada y en perfecto estado. Era de 2ª mano pero en realidad vino nuevo con un pequeño golpe en el lomo. Genial.
