These stones work fine. What is not fine is the cheapo people who made them put a plastic backing plate on them that tells the grit of each stone using two little spots of hot glue. The plastic identifying plates fall off before you even get them out of the package. Well, that kinda stinks.The other ones in the package that don't have a backing plate have the grit number inked onto the front surface of the stone! In other words, after sharpening one blade, you will wear off the identifying mark on the stone so you will HAVE NO IDEA of what the stone grit is to sharpen your tools. Really bad planning. Otherwise, yeah, they are okayish. I mean, they ARE stones, and they do come in a package. Good enuf I guess. They will probably say something about "price-point" products. Well, no one told them to offer this product at a certain price. I will gladly pay for what ever a product is worth. These seem okay, but it's like getting measuring spoons for your kitchen baking. What if they all came with no markings? How do you know whether you are getting a 1/4 teaspoon or 1/2 teaspoon? Same thing with these stones. In about one day the marks on the stones will be gone, and then you get to play the crying game. I mean, the guessing game.

I blame the quality on the manufacturer and seller. Both should have QC that stops poorly made products from reaching customers, causing waste and destroying the confidence in Amazon, the products and sellers.These stones are not flat, not mounted correctly, some not mounted at all. Completely unusable.

The price is all value saved!!!Great product for a minimal cost, I have definitely made my money back on just 1 knife, sold it tonight for a discounted price and still more than doubled my money and time back in my work of which I am very prideful of.

They are cheap but got them to use with my work sharp precision adjust ( with an adapter) and they worked excellent! None were broke.

Did not contain 8000 grit whetstone. Instead it had 6000. Every single stone separated from it's plastic backing after being soaked. Fixed them with super glue but overall this turned out to be pretty lame. Would not recommend unless you're prepared to fix them before first use.
