i know absolutely nothing about cars or how to put things on your car to modify it, but putting these on was the easiest thing ever. it comes with alcohol wipes, you just wipe down the area real good and then place those on with the 3m tape that it comes with. again, super simple. i give it 4 stars because it is more of a plastic, but it’s sturdy and it clings on great to my car

Didn't fit curve at top of door very well and edges were very sharp enough to cut fingers while installing

i bought this for my ‘09 civic. my parents and grand parents always bought these guards so i figured i would follow suit. the application was easy, i made sure to use the enclosed alcohol prep and adhesive. but i ran into problems with my drivers side guard. it flew off on the high way ! i swiftly contacted the seller and a full set of replacements were sent. i knew my car would be sitting due to the stay-at-home orders that the COVID 19 has created. so, i put on the new drivers side guard and let my car sit for 2 days. i also added super glue (gooey version) to maximize the potential of the guard staying. upon driving to work, i saw the drivers side guard flapping in the wind again! i quickly pulled over to the side of the highway, took it off and placed it in my back seat. it was raining substantially this morning, so that probably didn’t help. but i will be reattaching the guard with stronger glue tonight and letting the car sit again.the seller is outstanding, quickly responding within amazons dictated time frame and promptly shipped me a replacement. just be sure to add some extra elbow grease (glue) to your application.
