Can i use the hi ouput speaker wire instead of rca?

Won't make much difference. The amp is not high power. Rated at 400 watts max, but doesn't put out that much.

Can this speaker be used without a stereo? I'd like to access with my iPhone for music and don't want a stereo in my classic car. Options?

I don't know what kind of car you have that doesn't have a radio or where you would want to put it but any bluetooth speaker should work and you can power it off the 12v battery easy enough. Are these water resistant marine grade?

Let me put it like this, there's no ipx rating on it, if you get a lot of moisture on it and or splash water on it it may burn out it's an open speaker on the back water looks like it would be able to get in there. If you're going to use it on a boat or somewhere with water make your own sealed box where you know water won't get in.
