Mens Tatekan Yukata, Lightweight Summer Robe, 100% Cotton, Made in Japan

I'm really very happy with this garment. I now wear it every day as a robe. It's very well made, the fabric is a good weight - not too thin, not too heavy - and has body to it but is soft, and all the seams are nicely finished. (I don't usually wear it, but the sash/belt is also really nice and compliments the yukata.) It washes very nicely, didn't need ironing and didn't shrink at all. I'm 6' 3.25", 212 pounds, and ordered the xx-large big, and it fits perfectly, reaching all the way to my ankles even after washing.From the images, I thought the fabric pattern was blue on white, but it's actually black on white - which I like even better.My only question is about the sleeves: They're straight, so they don't seem to be true yukata sleeves, but more what you'd expect on a nemaki. Honestly, that just makes it easier to wear, so no worries!

I needed to replace my old kimono and started shopping for this one. My old one had two layers of fabric which was okay but this is far superior. The inner lining on my old one would stick to my wet skin when getting out of the shower. This one does not. It slides on easily and my skin is dry in minutes.When I use it after soaking in the hot tub it keeps me warm until my skin is dry while allowing my body to cool. It's so comfortable. It washes and dries in minutes, without wrinkles or creases.One other note. My old one lasted twelve years. This one is 100 percent cotton, I have no doubt it will last as long.

I purchased this Yukata for a Japanese festival coming up soon. I was very pleased when it arrived! It fits very well, which is great, im a portly gentleman so it is hard to find such things in my size bracket. I hope that this seller keeps a supply of these wide Yukata for bigger folks like me. The fabric is also light and breezy, approriate for lounging or as summer wear (perfect for summer festivals). I also bought at a time when it happened to be marked down so the price was great for what i recieved! The only gripe i have about it was the obi, its kind of flimsy and cheaply made, but will work for lounging. Overall a great product!

They must be made in Japan as the quality and fit is equal to the ones I have from Japan. Very happy with purchase. Wish there were more styles available.

I got this yukata for my husband for Christmas. Many years ago he spent a lot of time in Japan on business. Since then he has loved yukatas. Before washing it was a little too long, but after washing it shrunk up a couple of inches and now is perfect. The pattern is beautiful and it the quality is wonderful. I definitely looked for one that was made in Japan, as I had bought another one a couple of years ago that was made in China. That one never fit properly. It was too small. He wears a size Large. Really a great yukata!

First yukata in anticipation of a trip to Japan. Quality and fit are good. Suggest gentle drying as it is cotton.

Seems to be well made, with reinforcing in strategic places. It fits well, and is extremely comfortable to wear. Am hoping the stitching lasts for years (no reason yet to think it won't). I've washed it twice. Looks nice and has not required ironing.

I was debating on whether to purchase this one or one of lesser price but I made the right decision to purchase this one. It is well made with quality materials. I am 6 ft 4 in tall, 190 lbs and the large size fits perfectly. I strongly recommend that you spend a the extra money and buy this quality product, you will not regret it.
